Budding Cook- Notice the electric mixer. My Mother used to let me plug it in between the couch cushions. I would make believe I was whipping-up the most scrumptious cakes. (I was almost 2 years old when this was taken in Jan. 1966)
MY BACKGROUND:
A graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Business Administration, it has always been my dream to own and operate my own business. I have spent most of my career in television as a news anchor and reporter. Through my work in television, I have had the opportunity to dabble in various culinary projects. I began a small catering business out of my tiny galley kitchen in 2002, an expression of a hobby really. And when I volunteered my cooking services for a charity event - The Chocolate Lover's Fling - I was pleasantly surprised to walk away with three first-place awards for my chocolate creations. My chocolate-covered peanut butter bonbons, chocolate mousse cups and chocolate mess cake surprised even the most notable bakers and chefs in town. "Who is this guy," they said. "Not to Worry Catering," grew from hobby-to-business, when I launched "Keithley in the Kitchen," on Halloween 2008.
Please allow me to share with you my great food and recipes.
Give me a try; you'll love what I cook.
Sincerely, Jim
